MORE ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY

THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS ARE ADDITIONAL HOMES PHOTOGRAPHED BY C.D. ARNOLD AS PART OF HIS ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHIC BUSINESS  FROM HIS NEW YORK CITY OFFICE, ROUGHLY 1885-1890.
ARNOLD CLOSED HIS NYC OFFICE IN LATE 1890 AND MOVED HIS FAMILY BACK TO BUFFALO (This is assumed using city directories of both cities) WHEN HE BEGAN WORK IN CHICAGO AT THE COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION AS CONSTRUCTION PHOTOGRAPHER UNDER DANIEL BURNHAM -FEB OR MAR OF 1891. ARNOLD MAINTAINED AN OFFICE PRESENCE IN CHICAGO INTO 1895 TO COMPLETE HIS BUSINESS THERE.  HE BUILT A NEW HOME IN BUFFALO IN 1895-96  AND THAT AREA WOULD BE HIS BASE OF OPERATIONS.  ARNOLD MAINTAINED HIS HOUSEHOLD THERE WHILE ALSO DOING EXTENSIVE  PHOTOGRAPHIC WORK AT THE COTTON STATES EXPOSITION OF 1898, THE PAN AMERICAN EXPOSITION OF 1901 IN BUFFALO, AND REPORTED INVOLVEMENT IN THE 1907 JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION.  ANOTHER TRIP TO EUROPE IN 1896 APPARENTLY WAS CUT SHORT FOR WHAT REASON WE DO NOT KNOW, AND A PARTIAL  RETURN WAS MADE TO ARCHITECT INVESTORS.
WHATEVER IS KNOWN ABOUT THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS IS LISTED. CONTACTS WITH HISTORIANS HAS BEEN MADE IN AN ON-GOING ATTEMPT TO LEARN THE EXACT LOCATIONS AND OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION OF STRUCTURES. INFORMATION REGARDING THESE BUILDINGS, THEIR OWNERS, LOCATIONS, AND CURRENT STATUS IS ALWAYS WELCOMED.
